Tony was in an exhibition at the Mueseum of Contemporary Ceramic Art, Shigaraki,
Japan will be about the history of the Tanuki.  He had two sculptures of Tanukis that he made there in the show.


The curator of the Shigaraki Museum of Ceramic Art in Japan, invited Tony to be in an exhibtion of contemporary figurative ceramics from around the world. They chose three of his larger than life size busts for the show called, "Human Form in Clay - the Minds Eye", March 18th, 2006 - Mid June 2006 at The Museum of Contemporary Ceramic Art,  Japan, Shiga Prefectural Shigaraki Ceramic Cultural Park.  Tony was a guest artist there for five weeks in spring of 2006. Please see his blog at http://dipnat.blogspot.com The exhibition includes Robert Arneson, Viola Frey, Robert Brady, Richard Shaw, Patti Warashina, Peter Vandenberge, Mark Burns, Akio Takamori, Paul Day, Sarah Scampton, Aldo Rontini, Gertraud Mohwald, Leiko Ikemura, Schrammel Imre, Maria Geszler, Arina Ailincal, Philippe Barde, Ki-joo Lee, Mikang Lim, Ting Ju Shao, Shin Fujihira, Mokichi Ohtsuka, Takashi Hinoda. The show will travel to other museums in Japan and there is a large catalog available. It went to The Museum of Ceramic Art, Hyogo beginning in November 2006. The next stop is Shizuoka art gallery in Tokyo. The show starts April 14, 2007.
